a waste of a day?

Just spent the past two hours unravelling a ball of red wool. Then trying to wind it up again and getting in a complete pickle. Wool everywhere. Knots are my enemy, and scissors are my only friend in these times of frustration.

Some may say I have too much time on my hands, and I would have to agree with them!

Which is why I'm going to start to try and structure my routine somehow. Its going to be a tricky challenge, but the psychiatrist thinks it will help me.

And I do have 2 fixed points in my diary already, yoga on saturday and life drawing on monday. I just need to fill the other five days of my week....

Someone suggested setting my alarm every day to stop me sleeping in....but I honestly couldnt bare it...I find the day long enough and hard enough to get through as it is...I dont want to make it any longer thanks very much...

ARGH. I'm getting overwhelmed now thinking about all the things I cant do. Must stop my brain spiralling into the darkness...Perhaps time for a snack? And a glass of diet coke of course...

  1. I'm definitely worse without any structure in my day - 2pm trips out for coffee have proven themselves to be a worthy addition to the diary x

  2. It's good to be able to say you've achieved something, even if it is to do with unravelling wool!

There are times when I say I've been productive by moving from my bed to the living room couch, so don't be too hard on yourself. Sometimes even catching up on the blogs I'm following I consider to be time well spent :) x

  3. You don't have to do anything to get structure but observe. I like to take trips to Local Art Exhibits and Museums. My other one is Football. I try to go to see two games a week. Usually Port Vale and Kidsgrove Athletic, or in Germany my beloved and uinque Fc St Pauli or Hamburgs other club Altona 83. Its expensive the higher up you go in England not so much in Germany, the benefits are you feel part of something without having to do anything and you meet some great people. Cinema also is good but people with 'noisy food' irritate me and being in an enclosed space full of quiet people worry me. So its a third option.
